The particular shape of this pot, is called "Zi Ye Shi Piao"

"Zi Ye" as in the famous ZiSha Engraving Artist, Qu Zi Ye 瞿子冶。

Famous Poet Su Tong Po 苏东坡 created the famous Shi Piao "Stone Ladle"-like pot.

The time is in mid-Qing Dynasty:
Yang Peng Nian 杨彭年, the famous ZiSha Artist, made this pot on which Qu Zi Ye 瞿子冶, the famous Engraving Artist, engraved.

The original one is THE Shi Piao of the Zi Sha world, made by Yang Peng Nian and engraved bg Qu Zi Ye, and is currently showcased in the Shang Hai Museum. You see it in the second photo here. In the 3rd photo is the 拓片。

Qu Zi Ye during his times (early Qing), was good friends with the famous Painters of his time, notably Dong Xin, and Ban Qiao.

This Work, this pot, crafted by Chen Fa Chu, and engraved, takes after the Original Shi Piao famous work.

We will hereby, explain the engraved words:
"子冶画壶 ~ 冬心先生余藏其画竹研,
研背有竹一枝即取其意,
板桥有此一纵一横颇有逸情致
子冶藏板桥画盖仿梅花盦者
仿梅道人子冶"

Words which Qu Zi Ye wants to convey on this famously created Shi Piao work:

"Zi Ye, engrave upon this pot thus:
I kept and collected a piece of Dong Xin's inkstone,
and, at the back of this inkstone carved a stalk of Bamboo,

I engrave this bamboo herein on this pot as a tribute and to be reminded of the aura which he wishes to convey in his painting.

Ban Qiao also has drawn bamboos in this style, with bamboos criss-crossing, which he aims to achieve a relaxed, languid feel.
The painting by my friend Ban Qiao, which I kept, has bamboos drawn in the style of the Owner of Mei Hua An."

Simply perfect

Smooth like silk, glitters like gold

This is such a sweet little teapot. As soon as I saw it, I knew it had to be mine. The order was sent to me on July 8th from their office in Singapore and it arrived today, on the 22nd. I have to thank the people at Real Zisha for their amazing service. I was able to track the order at any time I needed, and the teapot came very safely packed. I was really afraid it might break, travelling half the planet, but the guys here really know what they are doing. As for the pot itself, I think my mother said it best when she saw it: "Never in my entire life have I seen something like this." After I unpacked it, we just stayed there in silence, I have no words to describe how beautiful this teapot is, how precious it is to hold. If Craftsmen Zhai Yi Yao and Yi Hu Bi happen to read this review, I want to give them my eternal gratitude. Their work has given my tea journey an entirely new meaning. Thank you! :)
