Dearest Friends, last Chinese New Year, we celebrated with:
The Chinese New Year Extravaganza Series, which is aligned and launched with very special works. They were specially crafted and launched by our Artists. All were successfully procured by you friends and patrons. This year, we continue our yearly Chinese New Year celebration with all of you (whether you purchase or not, it doesn’t matter friends! Just understand and appreciate them :-D ! Most important is that you get to sharpen your acumen! Three of our Artists have begun preparation earlier back in August and here we present their finished works, just in time for you to joyously…

What goes on in an Artist’s “productive” life?
Artists are 1) often commissioned to craft various works by our patrons, both locally in China and also internationally.
In addition, Artists are also 2) preoccupied with pro bono talks in China, and furthering their own ascension in rank and accreditation: they need to attend classes and lectures at our local YiXing Ceramics Association. The classes, questions are very challenging and difficult, to say the least, if you see their theory papers!
Yes, although above 40 years of age, with a waning metabolic rate, even L2 Senior Artists need to work hard, never resting. Always on the go. Up and about. Attend classes, learn and practise under their even higher Masters, craft pots for patrons, design new ZiSha Works, experimentation, teach younger disciples.
Artists 3) CANNOT just rest on their laurels, as they need to be involved in designing new works, and training under each of their own teachers.

Our Artists true to our annual CNY tradition, had started preparing in August, so that their works are ready for you to welcome the new year, with glee and pride of ownership that can adorn your tea cabinet and table! Senior Master Cao Lan Fang, Master Li Yan Ru, Assoc Master Yang Quan Sheng, and Assoc Master Du Cheng Yao have come out with four Works. They have come together and decided to work on an array of ZiSha Works that span four classes: Ti Liang, Segmental-Corollary, Polygonal and Austere! are sure to delight
Despite their busy schedules all four of them have come to serve you, they must, in this team at RealZiSha!for your welcoming of the New Year! Here are the three works for this Chinese New Year Extravaganza Series!
1)… Yang Tong 洋桶 ~ Ti Liang Class + Classic Austere Class ~ Duan Ni,

First is this ZiSha Work with much splendour and brightness, designed to bring huge swathes of good luck to your home! Our Aunt Cao Lan Fang crafted this legendary Austere-Top Handle top classic ZiSha model, the Yang Tong 洋桶, from our Cao Family’s Duan Ni. After much experimenting with the moisture and firing temperature, she is able to come up with this Duan Ni of the desired colour, this bright canary yellow, and of this delectable sandy appearance. Extreme refining work done on the surfaces to imbue a thoroughly top class refined work befitting of a Senior Master Artist. Pure and delightful, as you can observe in the homogenous mix of the amalgamate ZiSha particles within and embedded naturally! A yellow that is natural yet bright: it looks so cheerful! Yang Tong 洋桶 is a thorough classic that stems from the early 1900s, and a design that many Artists of that era worked hard to perfect, and to delight the customers of the upper class in Shanghai in the 1910s.
2)…Zi Yu Ling Hua 紫玉菱花 ~ Ti Liang Class + Segmental-Corollary Class ~ Di Cao Qing Zi Ni,

Here we are entitled with Master Li Yan Ru with her Award Winning Work!
Master Li Yan Ru has pampered us in June - July 2024 with three Award Winning Works, and this time she relented to hugely indulge us with this: her famous Zi Yu Ling Hua 紫玉菱花 !!! Appreciated by many in our fraternity as an onerous and an astoundingly grandiose and magnificent Segmental-Corollary ZiSha famous work. It shows its full oriental beauty in audacious difficulty, precision and symmetry. This work is very close and dear to Li Yan Ru.
AN icing of the cake is that, this exquisite work achieved Bronze for the prestigious 16th Annual Fully Handmade Craft Year 2021 Competition. This is the most gruelling Segmental-Corollary work she has embarked and she is extremely proud of it.
Zi Yu Ling Hua is the work that is the most difficult to craft compared to the previously launched three designs, due to the THOROUGH Segmental-Corollary Design Motifs SPREAD ALL over the whole body, requiring mind-boggling detailing work.
3)…Si Fang Jun De 四方君德 ~ Polygonal Class ~ Huang Long Yuan’s National-Authenticated Huang Long Shan 4th Quarry Di Cao Qing,

Assoc Master Yang Quan Sheng, has delighted us in March with a stunning Mixed-Polygonal Work: the Si Fang Jun De 四方君德, crafted from the Huang Long Yuan’s National Authenticated Huang Long Shan 4th Quarry Di Cao Qing. Our lucky patron Mr W.H. from Studio City has gotten it ahead of everybody else. This is a very difficult Mixed-Polygonal Work. Assoc Master Yang wishes to recreate this difficult Mixed-Polygonal Class work for your Chinese New Year, and he dug into our common rare and precious stock of the Huang Long Yuan company's National-Authenticated Huang Long Shan 4th Quarry Di Cao Qing. Only one of the three crafted is successful, and thankfully, not zero out of the three. Assoc Master Yang rejoices that this precious work can be in time for the celebration and welcoming of your Chinese New Year! Thank you Master Yang!
