Thank you for appreciating this latest hard work and successful pot out from the kiln!!! Fully-Handmade, by our new and invited collaborative Craftsman Zhang Jiao 张佼, utilising Lao Zi Ni 老紫泥, size/volume of 168.8ml.
This is a challenging and high difficulty Austere pot to craft.
Zhang Jiao 张佼 has done it for all of us, perfectly.
This pot has the discontinuous and roughly horizontal marks in the inner walls, and these are called the: 泥凳纹 Ni Deng Wen, which are the marks left on the clay slab , complementary to the marks on the workbench of the Craftsman Zhang Jiao!!!🙇♂️🤗🎋 During the making of FHM ZiSha pots, the Craftsman will be using tools to cut the clay slabs, etc, and these leave marks on the studio workbench. Especially the first major forceful cut across the table to delineate the clay she/he wants to utilize to form the main body of the body. Thus when the craftsman subsequently pound the clay slab on a well-worn workbench which bear these cut-in marks, these marks will be etched complementarily onto the clay slab! Thus you are "enjoying" the additional natural hallmarks of a Fully-Handmade pot. (For example, a partially handmade pot will not show these marks). And for those Jigger-machined pots, what they manifest are CONCENTRIC, continuous circular lines, all parallel to one another.
This is truly a piece of art and the craftsman is truly skilled and talented, you could see and feel the hardwork that was put in delivering this incredible teapot.
Thank you
Many thanks to Craftsman Gu Xiao Ming 顾小明 and the team at RealZiSha for this perfectly adorable Ru Ding. This is my first fully-handmade pot and I could not be happier. Not only is it pleasing to the eye, but it is a wonderful vessel for brewing - the pour is very smooth, and the filter is great at catching stray leaves. The lid fit is perfect. Again, thank you Craftsman Gu Xiao Ming 顾小明 for this exquisite work, and to the entire RealZiSha! You are fighting the good fight and bringing the work of good and honest craftsmen and craftswomen to the entire world.
Magnificent tea pot. New favorite for my Dancongs. Great clay. Love the thin handle.
Pours fast and smooth.
Wonderful packaging. This is my first order and the teapot quality is the best I’ve seen!
This teapot looked absolutely adorable in the photos but shows its excellent craftsmanship all the more when in use. It is crafted perfectly and well balanced for a great pouring experience - the stem on the lid matches the curve of my fingertip when holding the lid during pouring, and the handle is just the perfect size for my finger to firmly hold the teapot. As always, the team at RealZisha offers amazing quality zisha teapots at an incredible price.
