~ Delicately made, NOT those thick-/irregular-thickness-walled like those cheating new technology 车一刀 Che Yi Dao 朱泥 pots sprouting up in the market since early 2022. Che Yi Dao involves a swivelling-rotational cutter that goes around a roughly-finished ZhuNi pot to cut the outer surface into a perfect shape. This cutter obliviates the need of accomplished skill of a true Fully-Handmaking Craftsman. Obviously, Che Yi Dao also absolves the need of a skilled FHM Craftsman to 1)pound the slab into a careful thin-slab, 2)paddle-pat the slab into a uniform shape purely manually.
In the utilisation of Che Yi Dao cutter, the worker will just need to 1) roughly pound the slab into a slightly thicker slab. After that the worker rounds up this slab as part of the main body, and will just 2)need to ROUGHLY paddle-pat it into shape. Afterwhich he sets up the Che Yi Dao cutter to revolve and cut the body into a perfect shape.

JingZhou ShiPiao is an Austere model which requires significantly more skill than many other Austere works.
Here, L5 Artist Sun Hai Tao, made hard work creating a perfect JingZhou ShiPiao out of XiaoMeiYao ZhuNi!and of a smallish ~200ml size!
The all round convex curve of the beautiful silhouette that makes a JingZhou ShiPiao so difficult to get right and be cohesive, and the silhouette forming a continuous line all around, base to body, body to lid, lid to body, body to base.
Due to the very nature, design of the JingZhou ShiPiao created by the late Gu Jing Zhou, the "Bridge Lid" often restricts the making of smallish JingZhou ShiPiao. Because if the JingZhou ShiPiao is small, the lid would be almost impossible to be held up without slipping.
Fun fact: in the fraternity, we usually lift up the lid of a JingZhou ShiPiao using 3 fingers: thumb, index finger and middle finger. The thumb and the middle finger grip the left and right edges of the lid, while the index finger gently pressed on the top/middle stabilising it, while the user lifts off the lid from the pot's body.
But here, L5 Sun Hai Tao took it upon himself to craft such a smallish JingZhou ShiPiao with a cohesive silhouette and yet with such a usable bridge lid. Imagine, how he crafts this lid with the body's silhouette melding up together in a continously convex line with the body.
Amazing.
Sun Hai Tao crafts here a Gem of a XiaoMeiYao ZhuNi JingZhou ShiPiao! Kudos to him. We really cherish his work.
221ml to suit our tea sessions for two to three persons.
