Its colour is almost the same as Tian Qing Ni. In fact, so similar they are, that, there is a joke from Chen Fa Chu: his patrons can possibly buy his Da Shui Tan Zi Ni pot at 1500rmb and sell it off at 15,000rmb as "Tian Qing Ni"!
Of course no way Chen Fa Chu and us are going to sell this at inflated and exorbitant and dishonest prices. No way. We abide by the highest code of honesty in serving our patrons and Museums worldwide.
Even if a retailer is selling Fully-Handmade ZiSha pots, they are often listing their Da Shui Tan pots as "Tian Qing Ni" pots and selling at $4,000, $7,000, $10,000.

Because, we in our fraternity do know, that Da Shui Tan Zi Ni and they appear almost the same as a Tian Qing Ni pot. Both embody the highly similar grayish-purplish hue.

Do not ever get fleeced by others selling "Tian Qing Ni" works. Most are Jigger-machined pots not made from ZiSha at all, and those that are made of ZiSha are actually made from DaShuiTan ZiNi instead.
Support PROPER Da Shui Tan Zi Ni. Although they are affordable, do not ever think that Da Shui Tan Zi Ni is not precious. It IS!, just that we price it with a honest conscience at affordable prices. Yes, just because they are affordable, you may see them lesser. They are not. They (joke, and literally) can be possibly bought by you and sold off as "Tian Qing Ni"!

These DaShuiTan ZiNi pots are authentic, and the clay found in the DaShuiTan quarry which had been flooded by waters since the 1990s.
This same DaShuiTan quarry produced the 1) DaShuiTan ZiNi and the 2) Tian Qing Ni clays.
They are so highly similar in colour: grayish-purplish-slight brownish hue! Well, understandably so, because they are found in the same quarry!
Chen Fa Chu even joked: "you can buy my DaShuiTan ZiNi pots at $180-$220, and post /list them up as "Tian Qing Ni"!!!!pots elsewhere and sell them off at $1,800 or $4,000!"

Other retailers DO get their Craftsmen to make pots out of DaShuiTan ZiNi,
and sell them off as "Tian Qing Ni" pots.
There is no certification for Tian Qing Ni clay in the fraternity.
Not even Huang Long Yuan company has a certified Tian Qing Ni in its store.
