I review 2 pots I received at the same time, of which one is not listed by master Li Yan Ru.
Tian gua made with benshan Lüni
The pot is really superbly made. What a beautiful design and what great craftsmanship. The pot doesn’t leak anywhere, pours precisely and is a feast for the eyes. The lid fits really really good and the pot is very thin walled. What a craftsmanship.
The clay: I was very curious about the clay. I always start my try outs with dan cong. This pot keeps the flowery notes intact and doesn’t mute that much. A little acerbity in the back of throat lingers , that I have never tasted before with this dan cong. IT keeps the flowery flavour intact. I can’t wait to try out different kind of teas! I love it so far!

This pot isn’t listed, because when I saw the first version of this pot and asked if there maybe was a second , they lifted her from her bed to take pictures of the second pot. ☺️ wauw what an enormous client friendly this company is. ♥️
I think this pot is worth reviewing also, that’s why I will be doing it under the tia Gua pot.
This is my 3rd pot by master Li Yan Ru and also this pot doesn’t disappoint. Beautifully crafted and very even. The lid fits to a T and the pour is strong. The lid is beautifully decorated and the feet are adorable. It must be quite hard to make feet that balance the pot so evenly.
The clay: it’s high fired zi ni. And also this pot I tried with dancong. It mutes much much more of course then the lvni pot. The tea tastes soft and I think this will be a great pot for heavily smoked teas. I can’t wait to try out all my other varieties in this pot! 🙏🍵🙏🫖🙏
