Consummate Master Li Yan Ru goes from strength to strength!and now she creates a new Original Design, the Chan Lian Bao Ping for the fortunate Tea Master!
Fine Art again, from the brains and extremely adroit hands of a Consummate Master prodigy!
THIS WORK EXERCISES HER PRODIGAL SKILLS AND DILIGENCE OF A SEGMENTAL-COROLLARY SPECIALIST ZISHA ARTIST, to the maximum.
Her creativity also shines through with this NEW DESIGN!
She creates the Ru Yi auspicious motifs, combining with the cloud-like swirls!
Very organic and natural, bulbous and sleek at the same time.
She also creates small indentations and pits, onto which she applies Gold for the final AUSPICIOUS meaning for the Tea Master who owns this ZiSha Fine Art from her.
She chose one of her favourite clays, the High Firing-able Zi Ni clay, and her personal high firing sequence, to imbue with this work, the understated aura and sleek appearance.
Master Li explains that,
1. The dark color of this clay,
2. and the Smoothness of this clay after firing,
Allow the interplay of light with the top edges of the delightful and organic clay sculpting, to bring out the best of the 3-DIMENSIONALITY of the Ru Yi motifs!
Not only that, the Gold Appliqué which Master Li carefully applies into small indentations amidst the top plate, shines through to the Tea Master and the Guests alike!

ALL THESE ARE MADE POSSIBLE, DUE TO MASTER LI'S BACKGROUND in Segmental-Corollary Works, which she EXERCISES to the maximum to execute these repetitive motifs, with neatness, three-dimensionality, and UTTER smoothness (born of her excellent Shang Ming Zhen 上明针: surface extensive refining work). Shang Ming Zhen for Segmental-Corollary works, requires her to refine surfaces extremely carefully, due to the undulating and ever-changing gradients, convexity, valleys and curves. Very, very cumbersome, gruelling and time-consuming, but this is absolutely necessary for an Artist working with ZiSha.
ZiSha Crafting requires surfaces to undergo Shang Ming Zhen 上明针。

She wanted to create the FUN and delight, when you pour hot water onto the pot after closing the lid: the water will flow and swivel around these motifs, and evaporate off, just like vapours off the cloud-like motifs too!
HER combination of Ru Yi motifs combining with Cloud Swirls: put to the best fun use during the daily routine of tea steeping!

Her touch of the horizontal mid~waist line, slims down this work aesthetically, and she rounds off at both ends, a pair of Ru Yi auspicious motifs again!

Master Li has consistently orders coming through for her Austere works ever since she has been working with us in China since 2018, and her international debut with us in mid-2024 which showcased three of her signature and award-winning Segmental-Corollary ZiSha works. The fourth and highly proclaimed, Segmental-Corollary ZiSha work was launched in December and was snatched up within a day. She regularly crafts Austere and Polygonal works on her own terms, and what she loves to manifest.
