Dearest Friends, as we write here post Chinese New Year, yes! our dearest Ornate Prodigy Zhang Xue Lei is back with works for you, after his recent nine months of gruelling work May 2025 ~ Jan 2026: crafting supremely exquisite Ornate works for several patrons which you have seen; and during this nine months, he has also been concurrently learning the Thin-Walled technique from none other than, National Grand Master of Ceramic Arts, Chen Guo Liang!who also trained Zhang Ke and now also training Senior Consummate Master Yuan Hui!

This Tree Section Body that is carefully crafted and patted into shape by Prodigy Master Zhang Xue Lei:
What is convex on the outside, is concave on the inside.
There is NO low skilled patching or adding of clay on the outside to created the convex features of the tree.
Rather, Master Zhang Xue Lei, being a masterful Artist: right from the start has the master plan in his head, and intentionally, he carefully patted the clay slab all around, with a clear destination in his mind of WHERE the convexities will be, where the concavities will be!
NOTE EVEN THE BOTTOM OF THE HANDLE:
This also lessens greatly the mass of this work, overall enabling this work to be extremely handy with just a very modest weight! Very EASY to carry and lift!

Zhang Xue Lei's wise and delightful use of Ornate natural tree features to contain the ventilation hole, much to most of your guests' totally not realizing it at all at first, but later observing the vapour fumes coming off from it!

For all our esteemed Patrons' information, Zhang Xue Lei only crafts Ornate works 花器. He does not craft 光器Austere (e.g. Xi Shi, Fang Gu)/ 方器 Polygonal/ 筋囊器 Segmental-Corollary works for sale. If you Google and trawl the net, and you find Austere/pure Polygonal/Segmental-Corollary pots "made by Zhang Xue Lei" sold by other retailers, they are all false. Even if these pots bear "his stamp", they are not his works. Avoid. They are all duds (jigger-machined pots or half-handmade factory-line products stamped with Counterfeit Stamps). And such stamps and certificates from these retailers are faked. Such Chinese sites of bogus retailers are ubiquitous. If they are prevalent in China, imagine all the cookie-cut sites in English language currently online and designed to dupe the Westerners. With AI, such sites can be drafted up really fast, and many retailers cookie-cut and paste photos from Taobao, where they get their central source jigger-machined pots from. These sources have centralised photo-taking by the sourcing factory, and then distributed to their retailers.Imitation is the best form of flattery/acknowledgement.
