Master Li Yi Jun, one of deep understanding of poetry and literature, composes several lines himself, to couple with a few traditional Chinese proverbs and idioms, for this beautiful ZiSha creation! Before our explanation on his behalf of the wise use and arrangement of words with this ravishing and utterly majestic work, we marvel at the lid knob.
As the Eight short verses, each of four Chinese characters, POSITIVELY BLESS upon the Family and the Holder of this work many forms of good fortunes, Master Li spent huge amount of time perfecting his Diao Su 雕塑 Sculpturing of the Lion as this piece's magnificent lid knob, to REPULSE all things Negative away from the Family!:
In our Chinese culture, the LION has always been the Sculpture of choice, placed at the fore of our houses, as the prime 镇宅 "Zhen Zhai" object: the object that repulses all things negative.
Now we come to Master Li's magnificent compositions and utilisations of Chinese proverbs and idioms.
The Eight lines are:
五世其昌, Wu Shi Qi Chang,
The family prospers and flourishes for generations!
五鼎万钟, Wu Ding Wan Zhong,
Wealth, Honor, and Esteemed Social Standing!
福星高照, Fu Xing Gao Zhao,
Good fortune bestow upon you, and may everything go smoothly!
福寿康宁, Fu Shou Kang Ning,
May you have good fortune and longevity, good health, and peace and prosperity!
临下居高, Lin Xia Ju Gao,
One of Extraordinary Bearing!
临风对月, Lin Feng Dui Yue,
Leisurely and carefree, enjoying the Breeze and the Moon, with a Peaceful state of Mind.
门庭明媚, Men Ting Ming Mei,
One's House is filled with Joy and Prosperity.
门满春光, Men Man Chun Guang,
One's House is filled with Joy, and Everything was Full of Vitality.
These Eight lines are engraved in the Traditional Way, read VERTICALLY top to bottom, right to left. The adorable part with Master Li's compositions and arrangement of words, is such that when read horizontally right to left, the TOP LINE's four characters make the most auspicious line:
五福临门!
And if read horizontally right to left the FIFTH LINE, the four characters make the same auspicious line again:
五福临门!
五福临门, Wu Fu Lin Men,
MEANING:
ALL FIVE MAJOR BLESSINGS, LONGEVITY, PEACEFULNESS, GOOD FATE, PROSPERITY, VIRTUE, COME TO YOUR HOME!
The opposite side is where Master Li exercises his savoir-faire as a L3 Master Artist in Engraving: engraving the sterling bamboos, to uphold strength of morals and the practice of virtue in one's path.
Master Li is not done yet with his creation, as he amazes all of you with the bottom engraving to complete this STUNNING WORK!
Remember name stamps? ~ the engraving has to be reverse-engineered from what is supposed to be stamped and displayed on a piece of paper, to a reverse mirror image on the stone surface!
This bottom engraving, composes not of his name, but the FOUR CHARACTERS : "五福临门" again, but in REVERSE FORM, EXACTLY REPLICATING THE ART OF ZHUAN KE 篆刻! : The Engraving of Stamps!
This makes for one extremely INGENIOUS and captivating work we have ever handled! All of Master Li's wisdom, knowledge, and beguiling craft and savoir-faire, all manifested here for the very fortunate owner and his or her household!
Master Li, being the excellent Artist we have with as a very great family friend, he and his wife come by our Jing Tang She showcase at Unit 103, Jie Fang Zhong Lu, almost daily! Master Li also crafted five prototypes, prior to settling on this final design, a piece extremely close to his heart.
This is one Sterling work,《五福临门》which we feel so proud at the Cao Family, that he presents it finally to all of you.

He is thus the chosen spiritual successor of Grand Master Li Chang Hong himself.
