《景舟石瓢》Jing Zhou Shi Piao
Jing Zhou Shi Piao is one ZiSha model that is preferably made large, because it thrives aesthetically when crafted large! Here we have that recreation of the quintessential historical and important piece by the late Gu Jing Zhou! Not only that, Craftsman Wang Xing succeeded with crafting a large Jing Zhou Shi Piao with the high shrinkage clay that is Xiao Mei Yao Zhu Ni!!! Kudos to Craftsman Wang Xing.
Craftsman Wang Xing! Thank you! Here, he responded to our plea and heartfelt wish, a large Jing Zhou Shi Piao in Xiao Mei Yao Zhu Ni!!!
We also asked him to work with Craftsman Yi De Shu, to recreate "THAT" QUINTESSENTIAL, all important, Jing Zhou Shi Piao 景舟石瓢, crafted by the legendary late Gu Jing Zhou 顾景舟 himself, and with
THAT, MOST FAMOUS collaboration with Wu Hu Fan 吴湖帆。
~ the version created by the late Gu Jing Zhou in collaboration with Wu Hu Fan 吴湖帆 where Wu Hu Fan did the bamboo painting and Gu Jing Zhou crafted the pot and performed the engraving/etching. This historical piece was painted on and calligraphed both by 吴湖帆 , and after being carved by 顾景舟, it was given to 唐云 as a gift. Tang Yun is a famous painter and acclaimed ZiSha collector in the late Min Guo Republic era.
The actual historical piece was auctioned at ~USD4,000,000 at the 2015 Beijing Jindong auction house. Most of us can never have it in our lives, but it is about honoring traditions and the classics.

Being respectful, and also, in congruent with our Yixing traditions, it is right for the Craftsmen and Artists crafting this work, to have " 湖帆 Hu Fan" inscribed on the left wall and exactly corresponding to the historical work, while the engraving Craftsman or Artist can engrave and sign off with his or her own signature to the left of the 2 stanzas x 7 characters on the right wall.
Here all of us worked together at realzisha, planned with both Craftsman Wang Xing 王兴 and Craftsman Yi De Shu 一德书, to prepare this finally for you friends! VERY happy that this work is finally launched for your treasured and important collection.
Yes, "THAT" Jing Zhou Shi Piao :-D.
That quintessential piece by Gu Jing Zhou.
We honor these two Maestros Gu Jing Zhou and Wu Hu Fan with this piece.
The most distinctive and supreme classic version of the Jing Zhou Shi Piao: timeless Jing Zhou Shi Piao.
Our great Craftsman Chen Fa Chu 陈法初 had successfully crafted five pots in tribute of the most distinct and supreme classic version of the JingZhou ShiPiao:

Heroes do not wear capes. We regards Wang Xing as one. Humble, hardworking and single-mindedly continuing his pursuit to help us all with affordable, high quality true Fully-Handmade ZiSha pots.
Here is Wang Xing!! A great salute to him and his hard work, as he had served many of you friends previously with efforts earlier this year!
Crafted at ~270-280ml to cater for our tea friends who requiring a 270-280ml ZhuNi pot for steeping your tea steepings for three people, or two people (one being more thirsty than the other :-D ). Yes Suitable for two to three persons' happy gathering by the tea table!!!

Wang Xing's skills are brilliant.
His mastery of the overall shape is here for us to savour.
The Xing Ti 形体 of his works are superb! From the photographs, we admire and easily appreciate his amazing Craftsmanship.
This is ZiSha Art, working with XiaoMeiYao ZhuNi, one with even higher shrinkage than ZiNi and DuanNi, and thus a lot more deformities that CAN arise easily during firing. Success rates between 50-70%. We bear witness to dear Wang Xing's skills as he PAINSTAKINGLY and PROUDLY presents his labor of love for all of you friends.
TRULY FULLY-HANDMADE AND DELICATELY MADE.
NOT those thick-/irregular-thickness-walled ones which are actually fake "Fully-handmade ZhuNi pots" utilising the cheating new technology: "车一刀 Che Yi Dao": Such ZhuNi pots utilizing Che Yi Dao process, have been sprouting up in the market since early 2022. Che Yi Dao involves a swivelling-rotational cutter that goes around a roughly-finished ZhuNi pot to cut the outer surface into a perfect shape. This cutter obliviates the need of accomplished skill of a true Fully-Handmaking Craftsman. Obviously, Che Yi Dao also absolves the need of a skilled FHM Craftsman to 1)pound the slab into a careful thin-slab, 2)paddle-pat the slab into a uniform shape purely manually.
In the utilisation of Che Yi Dao cutter, the worker will just need to 1) roughly pound the slab into a slightly thicker slab. After that the worker rounds up this slab as part of the main body, and will just 2)need to ROUGHLY paddle-pat it into shape. After which he sets up the Che Yi Dao cutter to revolve and cut the body into a perfect shape.

Here with us in our happy family of true ZiSha connoisseurs, you witness 90-120 photos taken of EACH Fully-Handmade ZiSha work here.
Compare this to elsewhere: factory bosses of jigger-machining non-zisha pots contribute downstream to their retailers: 5-10 stock photos for each non-zisha pot model, used to sell a stock of 10, 20, 30 jigger-machined non-zisha pots per model. I.e. 5-10 photos to sell hundreds of one model.
We at RealZiSha, take 90-120 photos, fresh, of EACH, ONE, Fully-Handmade ZiSha work. Together with our sacrificial and hardworking Craftsmen and Artists committed to honest true Fully-Handmade ZiSha Art and Craft, we at RealZiSha go the eons' distance.

Explained, https://www.realzisha.com/blogs/news/actual-zisha-landscape-at-yixing , the Craftsman by selling his hard-worked ZiSha craft at $190-$240, $45-$65 goes to the cost of the craft, inclusive of the fees for the firing for the kiln operator (three times per pot), the packaging boxes, and between $32 to $52 for the clay (Zi Ni Di Cao Qing, Duan Ni and upwards) used per pot. Craftsman takes 3 days (fastest 2.5days) to craft a pot.
If he works 30 days a month without a single day of rest (no family time), he will craft 10-12 pots.
If he crafts for 25 days (five days of rest a month), his output will be 8-10 pots.
The success rate for Zi Ni (e.g. Di Cao Qing, Lao Zi Ni, Da Shui Tan etc) and Duan Ni (e.g. Jiang Po Ni, Qing Hui Duan, etc) is 70% on average. Some times the whole batch of 10 may fail. We have seen our Craftsmen suffer like this very often.
The success rate for Zhu Ni (e.g. Xiao Mei Yao Zhu Ni) pots is 60%, or 70% with most optimism and at the very, very best. Unfortunately.
All of us at RealZiSha of course, hope for one another, professional colleagues and all, that all the pots will survive firing at the kiln successfully.
[For ZiSha models/designs that are very challenging and more complicated to craft, the time taken to craft will be longer, and the failure rate will be higher as well. Zi Sha by its virtue, have the highest shrinkage rate of all ceramic clay. Zi Ni and Duan Ni thus have that 70% success rate, while Zhu Ni has even higher shrinkage rate and thus even lower success rate (the lowest of all ceramic clay.)]
Our Craftsmen are wholeheartedly committed to the cause of Fully-Handmade ZiSha Art and their strictness with their craft and dedication earn our respect. We give a big Thank You all of these Craftsmen, for they are saving what is our common precious tea culture: Tea + Fully-Handmade ZiSha Art and Craft. Your support is critical to their livelihood and the existence of this craft for all of the tea fraternity.
Thank you Friends!
