Senior Master Yuan Hui works with and engages the Clay Sculpting by Artist Wu Shi for his beautiful clay sculpting of BOTH Shan Shui Landscape and even Calligraphy!
Generally in ZiSha Art, Clay Sculpting 泥灰 is more pricey than Engraving 刻绘。
It raises also the likelihood of failure at firing: through cracks at the thin ZiSha clay appliqué, which would be irreparable.  If the clay sculpting comes off, irreparable and unsightly, Yuan Hui needs to craft again.

Senior Consummate Master Yuan Hui also revealed and announced to the recent RealZiSha Hospitality tour group on the 25th May 2025, that he would ascend to the L1 Research Level Master come just next year 2026.

Senior Consummate Master Yuan Hui, the prodigy and genius of Polygonal ZiSha Art, luxuriates our ZiSha Tea enjoyment to another level, here with his World Debut and Original Creation of this world debut:  The《普渡八方》Pu Du Ba Fang.

Let us look at his latest World Debut here, the 《普渡八方》Pu Du Ba Fang.

He calls it 普渡 Pu Du, 八方 Ba Fang,
and he chose the name Pu Du 普渡 because it means to save all sentient beings in Buddhism.
He wanted this work to be serious, and to be wide and give the impression that it would be able to withhold and help as many as possible, in all directions (Ba Fang, we Chinese call all directions figuratively as Si Mian Ba Fang 四面八方。)
Here Yuan Hui crafted exactly a Ba Fang, eight-sided work, to rhyme in the full meaning of Pu Du Ba Fang.
This is probably the one of the largest Opening/aperture Polygonal class work that Yuan Hui would be constructing per Volume (O/V):
The actual dimensions of its area of Opening is big, plus, this design is more wide than tall: these two factors making the ratio O/V very high.
Senior Master Yuan Hui reinforces the theme of this Pu Du Ba Fang, endowing it with this wide opening to ease and facilitate steeping for a good group of Guests, if it is not showcased in your proud display cabinet.  Pour is also extremely FAST and decisive.

This pot is difficult to craft for its MAIN BODY has the additional corner facet slabs which are narrow slabs, and have to be skilfully coaxed into the shoulder bends together with the four bigger slabs.
All eight slabs, four wide and four narrow, have to be joined together while looking symmetrical at the end of it, with the top lid's corresponding corner sculpting.





Yuan Hui has to carry on his diligence (as we have been pampered always by his works), into all the detailing of the edges.
The body is eight-sided, and Yuan Hui ensures that the spout Is eight-sided as well!





We marvel at Yuan Hui’s crafting and sculpting of the handle:
YES! Four main sides, and four chamferred sides.






What we take for granted, what is so timeless, everlasting and comfortable to the eyes, is born of Yuan Hui’s craftsmanship and care in crafting.
He has to spend a lot of time doing Shang Ming Zhen 上明针 ~ Refining surfaces, a few days, just for this one Polygonal work.
With so many MULTIPLE facets, edges and faces, he must be very patient to refine every part, and not leave anything out.

“江碧鸟逾白，山青花依然”
出自唐代杜甫的《绝句二首》
译文碧绿的江水把鸟儿的羽毛映衬得更加洁白，山色青翠欲滴，红艳的野花似乎将要燃烧起来。
注释鸟：指江鸥。花欲燃：花红似火。
赏析此句描绘了一幅色彩明丽的春光图，将“江”、“鸟”、“山”、“花”四种实物涂上一层碧绿、青翠、莹白、绯红的油彩，一派春光融融之景象。
The emerald green river makes the birds' feathers appear even whiter, the mountains are a vibrant, almost dripping green, and the bright red wildflowers seem about to burst into flame.
Notes: Birds: refers to gulls. Flowers about to burst into flame: the flowers are as red as fire.
Analysis: This sentence paints a vivid picture of spring, coating the four elements—river, birds, mountains, and flowers—with shades of emerald green, verdant green, sparkling white, and crimson red, creating a scene of harmonious springtime.




We admire Yuan Hui's consistent and diligent gift of the 45degree~1mm wide (Dao Jiao 倒角) chamferring for us: here at the lid 1) Outer two facet edges, and 2) Inner two facet edges.
