As the previous Cang Song Ning Rui work has the features laden and biased towards the right-handed user, versus being more sparse on the Guests' side, and has more ornate detailing focussed on the Pine Fruits,
Zhang Xue Lei wants this Shu Mei Wo Xue to have a balanced distribution of tree Ornate features both left and right sides, both Tea Master and Guests' sides of this work, and has more ornate detailing on the Spout. Also, this extraordinary piece represents the bifurcation of the Plum Blossoms tree trunk, and rightly holds up the right platform to present a highly Ornate Spout. The bifurcation he explains, is to represent optimism, hope and growth, during times of enduring the coldness!

Zhang Xue Lei, is an enneagram Type 4 wing 3 Artist, in his growth zone Type 1, and this is the reason why he shows FLAIR and creativity easily! yet always grounded and highly PERFECTIONIST. Assoc Master Zhang now, having perfected the clay we only reserved for our Artists, and so far only mastered and used by him at his previous Cang Song Ning Rui work, continues with this Bao Shan Lao Qing Hui Duan in this NEW DESIGN where he moves on from the Pine Tree to the Plum Blossoms Tree. Plum blossom trees (Prunus mume) symbolize perseverance, resilience, hope, and the arrival of spring, as they bloom bravely during late winter and early freezing weather. This to welcome the winter, gives us inspiration of strength, as we steep tea and bring us through winter in bright and blooming spirits!!! He designed it to have a wider top, and larger at 212.6ml, as we need to hydrate ourselves and better warm us gastronomically in the dry and cold weather. Definitely, welcoming of our partner or family members to drink together! Highly distinctive and unmistakable, design and silhouette by Zhang Xue Lei now that will gloriously grace a happy Tea Master's tea table!

This Tree Section Body that is carefully crafted and patted into shape by Prodigy Master Zhang Xue Lei:
What is convex on the outside, is concave on the inside.
There is NO low skilled patching or adding of clay on the outside to create the protruding features of the tree.
Rather, Master Zhang Xue Lei, being a masterful Artist: after CAREFUL DESIGN, has the master plan in his head, and intentionally, during patting the clay slab 360, has a clear destination in his mind of WHERE the convexities will be, where the concavities will be.

Another gruelling aspect of Ornate work, Xue Lei coaxing each part slowly to accommodate the feature on the outside which he will craft and sculpt up! No extraneous clays. All delicately and strongly featured.

ALL these are done to greatly lessen the mass of this work, enabling extremely easy handling. One gripe of Ornate works elsewhere which are poorly conceived and poorly crafted (rather lacking savoir-faire), is that they are heavy due to too much mass.

For all our esteemed Patrons' information, Zhang Xue Lei only crafts Ornate works 花器. He does not craft 光器Austere (e.g. Xi Shi, Fang Gu)/ 方器 Polygonal/ 筋囊器 Segmental-Corollary works for sale. If you Google and trawl the net, and you find Austere/pure Polygonal/Segmental-Corollary pots "made by Zhang Xue Lei" sold by other retailers, they are all false. Even if these pots bear "his stamp", they are not his works. Avoid. They are all duds (jigger-machined pots or half-handmade factory-line products stamped with Counterfeit Stamps). And such stamps and certificates from these retailers are faked. Such Chinese sites of bogus retailers are ubiquitous. If they are prevalent in China, imagine all the cookie-cut sites in English language currently online and designed to dupe the Westerners. With AI, such sites can be drafted up really fast, and many retailers cookie-cut and paste photos from Taobao, where they get their central source jigger-machined pots from. These sources have centralised photo-taking by the sourcing factory, and then distributed to their retailers.Imitation is the best form of flattery/acknowledgement.
