Dear fellow friends and patrons with us!
We write this on the 12th May 2024, as a MAJOR announcement to protect your interests: your top acquisitions from us at RealZiSha.

We have noticed several websites completely copying and plagiarising our articles, wholesale chunks of information: not just selected words, but wholesale paragraphs by paragraphs. Such plagiarising actions from other website and platforms, have in fact, been brought to our attention extremely kindly by fellow friends like you, dear patrons who scour the net and report them to us.  We are very grateful to all of you friends.  You know who you are.  Thank you Buddies!
You are our true friends on this tea journey of safeguarding what we love: Tea+Fully-Handmade ZiSha.
We cannot stop these plagiarising actions from others, BUT CRITICALLY, IMPORTANTLY: What we can protect, and NEED to protect, are you, you being our dearest friends, and your acquisitions from us.

Thus far, it has been articles and information.  We need to look ahead, collectively with our numerous friends and patrons, and with our Craftsmen and Artists, we see the need to preempt, safeguard and protect our Craftsmen&Artists’ names/photos/seals/stamps from being copied, and even if the other retailers may in future be faking & copying our Craftsmen&Artists’ names/photos/stamps on their fake pots and webpages, WE AT REALZISHA TAKE THE EARLIEST MEASURES FROM 12TH MAY 2024 TO ENSURE THAT YOUR PROCURED TRUE FULLY-HANDMADE ZISHA WORKS FROM US AT THE REALZISHA TEAM, WILL BE SAFEGUARDED, DIFFERENTIATED AND PROTECTED.

Below is the example, of the first Craftsman work sold on the 12th May 2024, which goes to Mr J.T. from Brooklyn, New York.

Thank you for kind and dedicated understanding of Fully-Handmade ZiSha works!  We believe it is the best ceramic material for steeping all types of tea.  Our Craftsmen and Artists are VERY happy to be able to serve you this lifetime too in your tea journey!
Our Craftsmen also know that OTHER yixing folks who engage in jigger-machined and half-handmade 流水线 "Liu Shui Xian" factory line operations enjoy very stable and higher income.  However, our true Craftsmen: they choose to stay with Fully-Handmaking Craft.  They know that those jigger-machined pots sell easily at USD120 online on many platforms even though each cost only, 15-30rmb, and they know half-handmade pots also sell easily at USD260 even though each cost only 150-200rmb each.  To half-handmake a pot: using halves-moulds for the body, lid, spout and handle, and putting them together in a "Liu Shui Xian" factory line operation is easy: an unskilled worker requires just six months of apprenticeship in such a factory line.  Half-handmaking entails the forceful application of pressure during the "Tang Pei" 搪胚 stage: using a jolly to physically squeeze the two half clay slabs against the two half-moulds for the main body, totally defeating the point of ZiSha.  The markups are tremendous, the stories spun online easily by multiple retailers, make these fake pots' operations spring up everywhere, and the bosses earn unspeakable amounts of profits (thus free shipping is easily offered, tao bao, etc).  The number of people never having a Fully-Handmade pot are everywhere and hence never had a reference true Fully-Handmade work to compare with.  (Again: 15-20rmb is the cost price of a jigger-machined pot while 150rmb is the cost price of a half-handmade pot, thus when many a jigger-machined or half-handmade pot are sold on many channels both within China or overseas at usd150, usd200, usd250 (1000 to 1700rmb), the jigger-machined pot is marked up/multiplied by 100 times, while the half-handmade pot is marked up/multiplied by 10 times.)

Craftsmen Yi Xiao Ran, Zhang Huan, Chen Fa Chu, Zhai Yi Yao, Wang Xing, Wang Hui, Shi Yun, Chen Yue Fei, Chen Huan, Li Qiu Lin, Chen Hua Jun, Gu Xiao Ming, and last but not least our lady Craftsman Chen Gui Zhi, choose to COMMIT their whole lives to Fully-Handmaking Craft.  They will never succumb to half-handmaking.  They choose to bury their heads and spend TEN to twenty years to perfect each step of the two hundred plus steps in Fully-Handmaking a Fang Gu, a Xi Shi, a Ming Lu, any classic austere ZiSha model.  Chen Fa Chu, Chen Gui Zhi and Wang Xing each spends 10,000 times more effort, time and money in order to craft a true Fully-Handmade pot, yet each sells their Fully-Handmade works with a profit margin dangerously (multiply by 0.1 time i.e. less than 10% mark up) close to cost, 1,400rmb to 2,000rmb.  It does not make any economic sense, when we think about their plight.  Yet these Craftsmen COMMIT their lives to this cause.  They learn and practice for so many years, they prepare so many countless tools, they measure so hard right down to the last mm (even 0.5mm) for each part of the ZiSha work, they often suffer WHOLE batches of ten pots all failing at the kiln.  They strain at their necks and eyes over many days, many months and many years.  Yet, they persevere with Fully-Handmade Art and Craft.
(Craftsman Yi's injured left wrist
was hurt by the sharp tools.)

T
rue Craftsmen from Yi Xiao Ran to Chen Gui Zhi, they know that Fully-Handmade works are worth their lives' sacrifice:
It is to fully respect the unique nature of ZiSha with its porosity.  They will never submit to half-handmaking or jigger-machining.  They commit their entire lives to lower, unstable pay, just for this Fully-Handmade ZiSha Craft and Art, burying their heads 10pm to 5am almost daily to earn just enough money.

This is our joint mission.
Fully-Handmade ZiSha Art and Craft, is our Chinese pride of Art and Culture, and is worth saving.  And on a happy note for all of you friends, the top ceramic receptacle to steep tea with.

Follow us, and you will be 100% alright, and 100% all right!  Do not be misled by lower prices elsewhere by the non-authentic.  Get it once, get it right :-D  Let these works by our Artists and Craftsmen indulge you at home with the most sterling tea experience, and the top ZiSha Art collection journey.

ALL PIECES by our Craftsmen and Artists, are way over the top, absolutely highest, in Performance to Cost ratio.

We continue working ever harder, so as to protect your interests, to allow you to savour the tea culture, carefree.  May you, your family and friends, continue to savour tea in these Fully-Handmade ZiSha works crafted by these dedicated Craftsmen and Artists :-D .  The Craftsmen and Artists can only craft at the speed they can muster, and they constantly suffer cracks, deformations at the kiln.  They are VERY THANKFUL to all of you for your patience for their works coming through.  They know that all of you friends have been very helpful and stupendously instrumental in their continuing their craft.  They, really, as they say every day in YiXing here, cannot thank you Friends, ever enough.

We happily announce that, to protect both You, and the Craftsmen & Artists here whom you lovingly subscribe to, we will continue securing ALL your procured ZiSha works from us RealZiSha:  Every Top Acquisition from us (yes, a $173 Lian Zi pot by Craftsman Chen Fa Chu is considered a Top Acquisition in our eyes, just as a Senior Master Yuan Hui's work), WILL BE STAMPED WITH OUR REALZISHA “真紫砂” STAMP ON ITS CERTIFICATE (usually beside the Artist's/Craftsman's Signature) BEFORE SHIPPING IT TO YOU (For U.S. addresses, the ZiSha work and the certificate will be shipped & mailed separately in view of heightened U.S. Customs sensitivities), AND 100%-proofed and 100%-protected with a 5rmb Chinese Yuan Note, with its unique Serial Number.
We will be keeping the 5rmb Chinese Yuan notes to back you up.  We are keeping these notes in our central store vault to obliterate any possibility of any other retailers getting their hands on these notes and applying to their sale of fake pots.
