水潭本段:\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThis is one of our Cao Family’s special Duan Ni.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eShui Tan Ben Duan, excavated and discovered in Huang Long Shan four decades ago, and our grandfather had noted its site in their notes passed to us, its location of which was quickly filled with water.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eThis water forms the small lake 水潭 here at the Huang Long Shan Park. \u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  This small lake started forming up with water in the 1990s ~ 2000.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cimg src=\"https:\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0588\/3684\/4694\/files\/IMG-20251221-WA0025.jpg?v=1766420407\" alt=\"\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003eWe all know that Duan Ni is more porous than Zi Ni and Hong Ni.  Duan Ni is inherently porous, and inherently sandy.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eThe special part of this clay lies in its extreme sandiness, but this sandiness is extremely FINE, and we find it very adorable in its characteristic 1)\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003emicro Iron deposits\u003c\/span\u003e, and 2)\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003emicro-pops\u003c\/span\u003e that form on its surface after the finished works come off successfully from the kiln.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eThe micro-pops are about 0.1mm diameter.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eIt also sports a characteristic beige and slightly orange colour, even slightly pinkish when seen in the flesh.\u003c\/span\u003e  The third interesting character!is its 3)relatively higher shrinkage for a Duan Ni, which you can see here, the wavy creasing which you buddies are very familiar with our Craftsmen's Zhu Ni works.\u003cbr\u003e1) and 2) Micro Iron deposits and Micro-pops:\u003cbr\u003e\u003cimg alt=\"\"
